IFBB Pro Tara Ostafichuk

Recently I had the pleasure of photographing IFBB pro Tara Ostafichuk the day she won her first two IFBB pro cards. this is what she had to say "I won the Masters Heavyweight Division and Overall Masters for my first pro card and then I won the Open Class Women's Heavyweight Division and then the Open Classes (which means, I had to beat the first place light, middle and light heavyweight champions) to win my second pro card". Here is a look at our photoshoot together right after she won. We shot at High Definition Fitness gym with guidance from her personal trainers Helen Bouchard and Daphne Madigin.

Great month of shooting competitors

A few weeks ago I went to High Definition Fitness 12988- 50 street Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to photograph Liz Chalifoux. Liz at age 63 has been working out now for 1.5 years and competed in her first ever competition Saturday, June 13 in Red Deer at Alberta Southerns in the Grand Master and Lightweight Open class in which she won. When I asked her what motivated her to pursue bodybuilding her response was very logical. What motivated her was looking at what happens as we age and asking herself "What do I want for my senior years" and I really thought she was more like a 30 year old during the shoot. Fit, fun, smiling, full of good energy and great to talk to. Liz's personal trainers are owners Helen Bouchard and Daphne Madigin and they are some of the best in the world. They have both been active competitors at the highest levels of competition, IFBB pro card holders as well as personal trainers to IFBB pro athletes for many years and produce amazing results each and every time. Their gym is amazing, clean and friendly. I hope at 63 I to have Liz's enthusiasm for life, level of fitness and great outlook on the world. Liz also happens to be an active nurse as well. I have many more great photos to post over the next week of her.
